Visit Rocky Reach Dam In Beautiful North Central Washington

Though not open to the public at the moment, Rocky Reach Dam will open again shortly and provides either a great destination for a day trip, or an awesome roadside stop if you’re traveling in the area. Rocky Reach Dam is located just a few miles north of Wenatchee, Washington on highway 97A. It is a familiar sight to almost anyone traveling to the resort and recreation area of Chelan.

The dam boasts fish ladders with indoor viewing windows, a fascinating Columbia River museum, cafe, and more. One of the biggest attractions at Rocky Reach Dam is the huge grassy park areas that are available for public use. An incredible selection of foilage adorns both picnic and play areas at the park near the dam. There is a climbing toy for kids to play on as well as picnic shelters large enough for group activities. There is also what seems to be almost endless fields of grass to play on, perfect for frisbee, kickball, or anything else yoiu can think of.
