What Fiorina fails to tell voters is that her tenure at HP was regarded as a failure, and she was fired by the HP board of directors.

• Condé Nast Portfolio rated Fiorina as the 19th worst American CEO of all time.
• InfoWorld declared her one of the tech industry’s top 25 flops.
• During her tenure at HP, she eliminated more than 18,000 jobs, and the company stock price fell by more than 60%, while competitors such as Dell were growing.

Fiorina’s track record of failure certainly does not qualify her for public office. A group of former HP employees has launched a website, Carly-Fiorina.com, to educate voters about Fiorina’s failures at HP.

To help relieve this burden, the Tides Foundation of San Francisco sponsored the development of a website to provide free, online bankruptcy counseling. to consumers. The site allows users to enter financial information, and then uses expert system technology to generate financial and credit advice. To fulfill legal requirements, the advice generated by the system is approved by a certified counselor prior to being sent to the user. The user can then be issued a certificate of completion to fulfill the requirements of the 2005 bankruptcy act.

The site, ConsumerBankruptcyCounseling.info, was developed by LunaGraphica, a Silicon Valley web development firm, and has already provided counseling for over 6,000 users.

As a retired dental assistant of 30 years I love my job these days. It allows me to stay home and raise my youngest daughter. It gives me the freedom to dream, design and create something I have a passion for…handbags. I love them all and tote around many of my own creations! I am a self taught handbag designer. I started hammering out Totes in 2007 as an outlet for my creativity and as stress relief. My step daughter was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a childhood cancer that year. Building Totes helped me cope and kept my mind busy creating something meaningful and useful as I watched a young life being destroyed by a debilitating disease. Short-term insurance

When you get married, both your household contents will be covered under a single policy, but this is probably not the case before you say “I do”. If you are both insured by the same insurance company which is unlikely, you could simply move all your property on to one person’s policy. If not, it is wise to shop around for the best possible rate while retaining adequate cover. Getting married will change your risk profile and your monthly rate is likely to be much less, especially your vehicle insurance.

Health insurance

Similar to short-term insurance, married couples tend to pay less for health insurance than their unmarried counterparts. Most health insurance companies do not offer domestic partner cover and if they do, it is considered taxable income if you submit a claim. To that end, it is advisable for unmarried couples to have separate health insurance policies, but all that changes when you get married. Compare your policy to your partners’ and see which offers the best possible benefits for the lowest premium. It is also not a bad idea to shop around for a possible alternate insurer than either of you currently use.

Life insurance

Many consider life insurance the most important policy to consider, especially if you are starting a family. They will need to be protected in the event of either of your deaths and as such, this should be discussed well before the wedding. If you already have a policy in place, you would want to consider increasing the cover so that your loved ones are not left without a source of income after your death. If you have not already done so, you will need to change the beneficiary on your policy as well.

Ensuring that all your insurance needs are taken care of before you start your life together will not only provide you and your soon-to-be spouse with much needed peace of mind, it could also save you a few pennies on your monthly installments which is often very welcome.
