Failed HP CEO Carly Fiorina Running for US Senate
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is running for the US Senate, basing her bid on her experience as a senior business executive.
What Fiorina fails to tell voters is that her tenure at HP was regarded as a failure, and she was fired by the HP board of directors.
- Condé Nast Portfolio rated Fiorina as the 19th worst American CEO of all time.
- InfoWorld declared her one of the tech industry’s top 25 flops.
- During her tenure at HP, she eliminated more than 18,000 jobs, and the company stock price fell by more than 60%, while competitors such as Dell were growing.
Fiorina’s track record of failure certainly does not qualify her for public office. A group of former HP employees has launched a website, Carly-Fiorina.com, to educate voters about Fiorina’s failures at HP.
There is also a section where you can read current and former HP employees’ critiques of Fiorina.
