The New England Patriots came into the NFL in 1960 as the Boston Patriots, and have been very successful in the last decade or so. They have had a number of great players over the years including Babe Parilli, Stanley Morgan, Steve Grogan, Curtis Martin, Cory Dillon, Julius Adams, Andre Tippett, Tom Brady, Tedy Bruschi, and more. They are easily one of the most famous franchises in the NFL, but football trivia is fun and here is something you may not know about the New England Patriots.

During their existence, the Patriots have played in six home stadiums, two of them only for one year each. While waiting for the completion of Foxboro Stadium, the team played the 1969 season in Alumni Stadium and the 1970 season in Harvard Stadium.

The Patriots are a great organization and learning New England Patriots trivia or little known facts can be a lot of fun.

One of the ways that the ownership group of the Dallas franchise applied pressure to Redskins’ owner George Preston Marshall was by buying the rights to “Hail to the Redskins”, his team’s fight song. Marshall needed the song for his team’s home games and eventually relented, thus the Redskins obtained their fight song and the Dallas Cowboys came to be an NFL franchise.

Kevin Pietersen’s miserable stint in the Indian Premier League continued as he was clean bowled attempting a switch hit and his Bangalore Royal Challengers slumped to a six-wicket defeat against the Delhi Daredevils.

FIFA is a Federation Internationale de Football Association that oversees the worldwide game. This association was first introduced in the year 1904 and its first president was Robert Guerin. Football was introduced in Olympics in London in the year 1908, but the first ever FIFA World Cup Tournament was played in the year 1930. The headquarters of the Federation Internationale de Football Association are located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Effect of First World War on FIFA
During the First World War, most of the national associations left FIFA. With the death of Daniel Burley Woolfall, FIFA was expected to disintegrate quickly. However, with the end of wars, the different nations united again and joined hands to make football popular among the youth, but the United Kingdom still denied to link with the world war enemies. Gradually, the national association members started increasing and currently, the Federation Internationale de Football Association integrates 208 members in all.
